Sage Real Estate was interviewed (shown above) by Global News about Digital Marketing and the use of Q.R. codes in Toronto real estate. They shot the segment in two parts the first standing in front of our Rosedale listing at 119 Glen Rd. and the second in front of a sold listing at 13 Dunbar Rd. It was pretty interesting seeing the spike in traffic on the individual website for 119 Glen Rd www.119glenrd.com after the segment aired.

“Sage Real Estate, formerly a Sutton Group franchise, split from Sutton in September and created its own version of the Multiple Listing Service available only to Sage clients. It is the first brokerage in the GTA to do so.

Real Estate Magazine (REM) – Sage offers personalized online home marketing

Sage Real Estate in Toronto is now making personalized online and social media marketing part of its basic package for clients. Sellers who list with Sage will have their home featured on its own dedicated website linked by key words to search engines such as Google and social media sites like YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Realty Stock, Oodle, Craigslist and Kijiji.

Homes will also be showcased on Sage’s own new site at www.sagerealestate.ca.

“Research now shows that up to 90 per cent of people looking for a new home start their search on the Internet,” says Evan Sage, company vice-president. Read the full article

London Free Press – Real estate on technology’s cutting edge

Internet technology is once again pushing the home-buying and selling process to new heights.

If you have a smartphone, you can now get all the information you want about a property – including photos, price and listing agent’s contact information – right off the For Sale sign.

At least you can if it’s a home listed by Sage Real Estate, a Toronto firm that might be the first in the country to use quick-response (QR) codes on their lawn signs.

“Now, for the person driving by who wants to know more about the property, they don’t have to wait and call someone, leave a message, then wait again to hear back. They can scan the QR code with their phone and get all the information they need just standing there,” says Evan Sage, the company’s vice-president.

Some large retailers, such as IKEA and Walmart, enable their customers to scan individual products’ bar codes to get product information and pricing.
